ROAD TRAFFIC

The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Variation No. 3 Order 1997

  Made 31st January 1997 
  Coming into force 12th February 1997 

The Traffic Director for London, following a direction given to him by the Secretary of State for Transport under section 58(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991[1] and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[2], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:-

     1 . This Order may be cited as The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Variation No. 3 Order 1997, and shall come into force on 12th February 1997.

    
2 . The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993[3] is varied as provided by the following provisions of this Order.

     3 . In article 4-

    (a) paragraph (2)(b) is renumbered (2)(c);

    (b) after paragraph (2)(a) add the following paragraph-

      " (b) in any length of road specified in Part VII and VIII of schedule 2 for a period of up to 20 minutes not being a period separated by an interval of less than 40 minutes from a previous period when that vehicle was at rest in that length of road during the prescribed hours.";

    (c) in paragraph (3)(a) for the words "Parts I to V" substitute the words "Parts I to VIII";

    (d) in the table in paragraph 5 in item 5 add to column (3) "Schedule 2, Part VI and VII";

    (e) in the table in paragraph 5 in item 9 add to column (3) "Schedule 2, Part VIII".

     7 . The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Experimental Variation No. 3 Order 1996[4] is hereby revoked.
