The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(1) of the Dockyard Services Act 1986[1], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order: 1 . This Order may be cited as the Dockyard Services (Rosyth) (Designation and Appointed Day) (Revocation) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 24th February 1997. 2 . The Dockyard Services (Rosyth) (Designation and Appointed Day) Order 1986[2] is hereby revoked. James Arbuthnot Minister of State for Defence Procurement, Ministry of Defence 20th February 1997 (This note is not part of the Order) The Dockyard Services Act 1986 ("the Act") makes provision in connection with any arrangements that may be made by the Secretary of State for or with a view to the provision by contractors of certain dockyard services. This Order revokes the Dockyard Services (Rosyth) (Designation and Appointed Day) Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/2244), which designated Rosyth Royal Dockyard and the dockyard services provided therein for the purposes of section 1(1) of the Act and appointed a day for the purposes of section 1(1) of the Act.
