The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(1) of the Dockyard Services Act 1986[1], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:
1 . This Order may be cited as the Dockyard Services (Rosyth) (Designation and Appointed Day) (Revocation) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 24th February 1997.
2 . The Dockyard Services (Rosyth) (Designation and Appointed Day) Order 1986[2] is hereby revoked.

The Dockyard Services Act 1986 ("the Act") makes provision in connection with any arrangements that may be made by the Secretary of State for or with a view to the provision by contractors of certain dockyard services. This Order revokes the Dockyard Services (Rosyth) (Designation and Appointed Day) Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/2244), which designated Rosyth Royal Dockyard and the dockyard services provided therein for the purposes of section 1(1) of the Act and appointed a day for the purposes of section 1(1) of the Act.
