NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Severn National Health Service Trust (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1997

  Made 14 January 1997 
  Laid before Parliament 21st January 1997 
  Coming into force 11th February 1997 

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 92(1) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having regard to the change in the arrangements for the administration of facilities previously managed by the former South and West Regional Health Authority, having consulted Gloucestershire Health Authority and the Severn National Health Service Trust in accordance with section 92(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation
     1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Severn National Health Service Trust (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 11th February 1997.

    (2) In this Order -

    "the Authority" means Gloucestershire Health Authority;
    "the trust" means the Severn National Health Service Trust;
    "the trust property" means the items specified in a schedule of trust property prepared by and agreed upon by Authority and the trust on 22nd October 1996 which schedule has been signed on behalf of the Authority and the trust.
Transfer of trust property
     2. On 11th February 1997 the trust property shall be transferred from the Authority to the trust.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order transfers to the Severn National Health Service Trust on 11th February 1997 trust property held by Gloucestershire Health Authority. A copy of the schedule of trust property to which the Order refers can be obtained at the Department of Health, National Health Service Trust Unit, Room 1N33F, Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7UE.
