The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 165A of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted the council of the City of Sheffield, hereby makes the following Order- Citation and commencement 1 . This Order may be cited as the Sheffield Development Corporation (Transfer of Property, Rights and Liabilities) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 21st March 1997. Transfer of property, rights and liabilities 2 . There are hereby transferred to the Secretary of State any property, rights and liabilities vested for the time being in the Sheffield Development Corporation. Signed by authority of the Secretary of State for the Environment David Curry Minister of State, Department of the Environment 6th January 1997 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order transfers to the Secretary of State any residual property, rights and liabilities of the Sheffield Development Corporation. It is proposed that the Sheffield Development Corporation will be dissolved on 1st July 1997.
