RATING AND VALUATION

The Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 1996

Coming into force 31st December 1996

    The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 140(4), 143(1) and (2) of, and paragraphs 4 and 6 of Schedule 8 to, the Local Government Finance Act 1988[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
    Citation and commencement
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 31st December 1996.
    Amendments having effect as from 1997/98
        2.—(1)  The Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (Wales) Regulations 1992[2] shall have effect in relation to financial years beginning on or after 1st April 1997 with the following amendments.

        (2)  In paragraph 2(12) of Schedule 2, for "0.992" there shall be substituted "0.962".

        (3)  In paragraph 8(1) of Schedule 2, for "1.5 per cent." there shall be substituted "1.4 per cent.".

        (4)  For Schedule 4 there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
