CIVIL AVIATION

The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 1996

Made 5th December 1996
Coming into force 1st January 1997

    The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 52(1) and 118(6) of the Air Navigation (No. 2) Order 1995[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Regulations:
    Citation and Commencement
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st January 1997.
    Amendment of the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 1994
        2.    The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 1994[2] shall be amended by substituting for "1995—1996" in the definition of "Technical Instructions" in regulation 3(1), "1997—1998".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations amend the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 1994. The definition of "Technical Instructions" now refers to the 1997—1998 English language edition of the Technical Instructions of the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air approved and published by decision of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (regulation 2).
    The 1997—1998 English language edition of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air can be purchased from—
