The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1996

Made 30th November 1996

    The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 70(3) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
    Citation
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1996.
    Appointed day
        2.    The day appointed for the coming into force of section 16(3) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 to the extent that it is not already in force is 2nd December 1996.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force on 2nd December 1996 section 16(3) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 to the extent that it is not already in force. Section 16(3) in so far as it relates to the definition of "sub-lease" and "sub-tenancy" was brought into force on 17th May 1996.
