The Marketing Development (Limitation) Scheme 1996

Coming into force 5th November 1996

    The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales acting jointly in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 50(1) and (3)(i) of the Agriculture Act 1993[1] and with the approval of the Treasury hereby make the following Scheme:
    Title and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Marketing Development (Limitation) Scheme 1996 and shall come into force on 5th November 1996.
    Limitation on previous Scheme
        2.    Applications for the payment of a grant under the Marketing Development Scheme 1994[2], received on or after 5th November 1996 from applicants whose principal place of business, as respects the grant for which they would have been eligible, is in England, shall not be accepted.

    This Scheme limits acceptances for grant, in relation to applications under the Marketing Development Scheme 1994 received on or after 5th November 1996, to applications from persons whose principal places of business relevant to their applications are either in Scotland or in Wales.
