ANTARCTICA

The Antarctic Act 1994 (Gibraltar) Order 1996

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 15th day of October 1996

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 34(2) and (3) of the Antarctic Act 1994^[1], and all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

Citation and commencement
    1.    —This Order may be cited as the Antarctic Act 1994 (Gibraltar) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 15th November 1996.

Amendment to the principal Order
    2.    —The Antarctic Act 1994 (Overseas Territories) Order 1995^[2] shall be amended by adding Gibraltar to the list of territories in Schedule 2 to the Order.

This Order, made under the Antarctic Act 1994, has the effect of extending the Act, with modifications, to Gibraltar.
