ROAD TRAFFIC

The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Variation Order 1996

Made 16th July 1996
Coming into force 31st July 1996

    The Traffic Director for London, following a direction given to him by the Secretary of State for Transport under section 58(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991[1] and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[2], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Variation Order 1996 and shall come into force on 31st July 1996.
        2.    The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993[3] is varied as provided by the following provisions of this Order.
        3.    In Schedule 2—
       (a) for paragraph 7B substitute—
              "7B.    From a point 3 metres south-east of the northern flank wall of No. 383 Holloway Road south-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres." ;
       (b) for paragraph 7C substitute—
              "7C.    From a point level with the common boundary of Nos. 381 and 383 Holloway Road south-eastwards for a distance of 6 metres." ;
       (c) after paragraph 7C add the following paragraph—
              "7D.    From a point 26.5 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 375 and 377 Holloway Road and a point 1.0 metre south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 357 and 359 Holloway Road." .
        4.    In Schedule 3—
       (a) for paragraph 6B substitute—
              "6B.    From a point 6 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 381 and 383 Holloway Road south-eastwards for a distance of 18 metres." ;
       (b) After paragraph 6B add the following paragraph—
              "6C.    From a point 2 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 375 and 377 Holloway Road south-eastwards for a distance of 24.5 metres." .
        5.    The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Experimental Variation Order 1995[4] is hereby revoked.
