SEEDS The Fodder Plant Seeds (Amendment) Regulations 1996
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fodder Plant Seeds (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st July 1996.
2.(1) The Fodder Plant Seeds Regulations 1993[3] shall be amended in accordance with the provisions of this regulation. (2) In the table in paragraph 8 of Part I of Schedule 5 (sampling of seed lots) there shall be added at the end the following new line
(3) For paragraph (a) of Part II of Schedule 5 (maximum weight of a seed lot and minimum weight of a submitted sample) there shall be substituted the following
for Breeder's Seed, Pre-basic Seed and Basic Seed, 3,000 g; for Certified Seed, Certified Seed of the First Generation and Certified Seed of the Second Generation, 2,000 g.
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations also make provision for the minimum requirements in respect of primary sampling of seed lots of 20,001 kg and above.
