INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT

The Development Board for Rural Wales (Area) Order 1996

Made 6th March 1996
Laid before Parliament 8th March 1996
Coming into force 31st March 1996

    The Secretary of State for Wales in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(2) of the Development of Rural Wales Act 1976[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf and after consulting in accordance with section 1(4) of that Act hereby makes the following Order:—
    Citation and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as The Development Board for Rural Wales (Area) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 31st March 1996.
    Interpretation and application
        2.    In the Order—
      "the 1976 Act" means the Development of Rural Wales Act 1976; and
      "existing area" means the area in Wales for which the Development Board for Rural Wales is responsible under section 1(2) of the 1976 Act immediately before the coming into force of this Order.

    Changes in area
        3.    The areas of the communities of Llanrhaedr-ym-Mochnant, Llansilin and Llangedwyn which areas are shown hatched black on the map in the Schedule hereto are hereby designated as areas in Wales for which the Development Board for Rural Wales is responsible under the 1976 Act in addition to its existing area.
