EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These regulations make changes to Schedule C1 to the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 1995 which specifies the appropriate pension fund for employees of certain employing authorities. The additions made to the schedule by these regulations are in respect of employing authorities who, following local government reorganisation in England, will from 1st April 1996 or 1st April 1997, no longer be situated within the local government area of the local authority who is or is to become the administering authority of the fund to which they and their employees contribute. The amended schedule specifies which is to be the appropriate pension fund for such authorities.
