ROAD TRAFFIC

The A1 Trunk Road (Haringey) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Experimental Variation Order 1996

Made 16th January 1996
Coming into force 29th January 1996

    The Traffic Director for London, following a direction given to him by the Secretary of State for Transport under section 58(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991[1] and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[2], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the A1 Trunk Road (Haringey) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Experimental Variation Order 1996, and shall come into force on 29th January 1996.
        2.    The A1 Trunk Road (Haringey) Red Route Traffic Order 1993[3] is varied as provided by the following provisions of this Order.
        3.    In Article 4—
       (a) for paragraph (3)(a), for the words "Part II of Schedule 2" substitute "Parts II or III of Schedule 2";
       (b) for paragraph (3)(b), for the words "Part III of Schedule 2" substitute "Part IV of Schedule 2";
       (c) for the table after paragraph (6), in column (3) after "Schedule 2 Part III" add ", Part IV".
        4.    In Schedule 2—
       (a) for paragraph 1 substitute the following paragraph—
              "1.    Between a point 3 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos 490 and 492 Archway Road and a point 96 metres north-west of a point opposite the northern kerbline of Bakers Lane." ;
       (b) add the following paragraph—
              "1A.    Between a point 12.5 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos 136 and 138 Archway Road and a point level with the common boundary of 130 and 132 Archway Road."
       (c) after paragraph 6 add the following item—

        "PART IV

        10 AM-4 PM MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS INCLUSIVE ARCHWAY ROAD South-West Side,
              7.    Between a point level with the party wall of Nos 337 and 335 Archway Road and a point 4 metres south-east of a point level with the common boundary of Nos 271 and 273 Archway Road and Jacksons Lane Community Centre.
        5.    In Schedule 3—
       (a) delete paragraph 1;
       (b) renumber paragraph 2 as paragraph 1.
        6.    In Schedule 4—
       (a) for paragraph 3 substitute the following paragraph—
              "3.    From a point opposite the party wall of Nos 435 and 437 Archway Road south-eastward for a distance of 19 metres." ;
       (b) for paragraph 7 substitute the following paragraph—
              "7.    From a point 3 metres south-east of the party wall of Nos 290 and 292 Archway Road south-eastwards for a distance of 22 metres." ;
       (c) for paragraph 9 substitute the following paragraph—
              "9.    Between a point 16 metres south-east of the common boundary of No 154 Archway Road and the electricity substation and a point 12.5 m etres north-west of the common boundary of Nos 136 and 138 Archway Road." ;;
       (d) after paragraph 9 add the following paragraph—
              "9a.    Between a point level with the common boundary of Nos 130 and 132 Archway Road to the boundary of the London Borough of Islington." ;
       (e) for paragraph 11 substitute the following paragraph—
              "11.    Between a point 3 metres north-west of the party wall of Nos 461 and 463 Archway Road and a point level with the party wall of Nos 447 and 449 Archway Road." ;
       (f) in paragraph 12, for the words "341 and 343 Archway Road" substitute the words "335 and 337 Archway Road.";
       (g) for paragraph 15 substitute the following paragraph—
              "15.    From a point 2 metres north west of a point level with the common boundary of Nos 207 and 209 Archway Road south-eastward f or a distance of 19 metres." .
