Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 4(2) of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967[1], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Commissioner Order 1995 and shall come into force on 31st July 1995.
        2.    Schedule 2 to the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967[2] shall be amended by the deletion of "Agricultural and Food Research Council", and "Science and Engineering Research Council", and by the insertion in the appropriate place in alphabetical order of the entries "Arts Council of England", "Arts Council of Wales (Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru)", "Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council", "Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils", "Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council", "Occupational Pensions Board", "Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council", and "Scottish Arts Council".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)
    This order adds the Arts Council of England, the Arts Council of Wales (Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru), the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the Occupational Pensions Board, the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council and the Scottish Arts Council to the list of departments and authorities which are subject to investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration. This order removes from the list of departments and authorities which are subject to investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration the Agricultural and Food Research Council and the Science and Engineering Research Council which have ceased to exist.
