ROAD TRAFFIC

The A312 Trunk Road (The Parkway, Hounslow) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1995

Made 19th June 1995
Coming into force 30th June 1995

    The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis pursuant to section 7(6) of that Act[2], hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the A312 Trunk Road (The Parkway, Hounslow) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 30th June 1995.
        2.    In this Order—
      "The Parkway" means the A312 Trunk Road in the London Borough of Hounslow known as The Parkway;

      "the junction" means the junction at the intersection of The Parkway and High Street, Cranford; and

      "the traffic island" means the island site in the north-westbound carriageway of The Parkway which extends south-eastwards from the junction for a distance of 12 metres.

        3.    Every person causing or permitting a vehicle to pass to the right of the traffic island shall cause that vehicle to turn right at the junction.
        4.    Every person causing or permitting a vehicle to pass to the left of the traffic island shall cause that vehicle to proceed straight ahead or turn left at the junction.
        5.    Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
