The Education (Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales) Order 1994

Laid before Parliament 6th December 1994
Coming into force 31st December 1994

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 24th day of November 1994

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Her Majesty, in pursuance of sections 5(1) and 5(4) of the Education (Schools) Act 1992[615], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Education (Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 31st December 1994.
        2.    Roy Lewis James, Esquire, is hereby appointed Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales for a period of two years and two months from the date of the coming into force of this Order.
        3.    The Education (Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales) Order 1992[616] is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order appoints Roy Lewis James to be Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales for a period of two years and two months from 31st December 1994. The Order revokes the previous Order made in 1992 which appointed Mr James to be Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales for a period of three years from 1st September 1992.
