FEES AND CHARGES

The European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1994

Coming into force 1st October 1994

    The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, with the consent of the Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 56 of the Finance Act 1973[1], hereby makes the following Regulations:
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 1st October 1994.
        2.    The second column in the Schedule to the European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) Regulations 1989[2]is amended by substituting, in relation to the first entry in the first column of that Schedule, the sum of £20.00.
        3.    The fee prescribed in regulation 2 above applies to any registration in respect of which every document necessary for the registrar to effect such registration is delivered to the registrar on or after 1st October 1994; and for the purposes of this regulation "registrar" has the meaning given in regulation 2(1) of the European Economic Interest Grouping Regulations 1989[3].

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations amend the European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) Regulations 1989 (as amended) by reducing the fee payable to the registrar of companies in respect of the registration of a European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG) formed in pursuance of article 1 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2137/85 of 25th July 1985 on the European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG) from £50.00 to £20.00. The reduced fee applies to any registration of an EEIG where all the relevant documents are delivered to the registrar on or after 1st October 1994.
