POLICE The Metropolitan Police Force (Compensation for Loss of Office) Regulations 1994
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Metropolitan Police Force (Compensation for Loss of Office) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 1st August 1994.
2.(1) These Regulations apply to eligible persons. (2) An eligible person is a person
(3) The qualifying ranks are inspector, chief inspector, superintendent and chief superintendent. (4) The circumstances referred to in paragraph (2)(c) are that he was, or but for an election under regulation G4 of the Police Pensions Regulations 1987[4] (election not to pay pension contributions) would have been, entitled to reckon at least 30 years' pensionable service for the purposes of those Regulations, had not attained the age of 54 and was not
3. The Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis may decide that an eligible person is to be paid by the Receiver for the Metropolitan Police District compensation calculated in accordance with the Schedule.
