EDUCATION, ENGLAND AND WALES

Education Act 1993 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1994

Made 14th June 1994

    In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 308(3) of the Education Act 1993[1]the Secretary of State for Education hereby makes the following order:
        1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Education Act 1993 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1994.

        (2)  In this Order, "the Act" means the Education Act 1993.
        2.    Section 279 of the Act (inter-authority recoupment) shall come into force on15th June 1994 for the purposes of enbling regulations to be made under section 51(1) to (4) of the Education (No. 2) Act 1986 (as substituted by that section).
        3.    The provisions of the Act specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters mentioned in the second column thereof) shall come into force on 1st April 1995; and, save as otherwise provided in the first column of that Schedule, they shall come into force on that date for all purposes.
