NATIONAL LOTTERY BETTING, GAMING AND LOTTERIES The National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (Commencement No. 2 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1994
1.(1) This Order may be cited as the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (Commencement No. 2 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1994. (2) In this Order "the Act" means the National Lottery etc. Act 1993.
2. The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 3rd May 1994: sections 48 and 49, sections 51 to 55, section 64 so far as not yet in force, Schedules 7 and 8, Schedule 10 so far as not yet in force.
3. The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 3rd October 1994: section 50, Schedule 9.
4. For the purposes of determining whether section 5(3C) or (3D) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976[2] ("the 1976 Act") (which was inserted by section 48(3) of the Act) applies to a lottery, any earlier lottery (within the meaning of section 5 of the 1976 Act) shall be disregarded if the date of the lottery fell before 3rd May 1994.

(This note is not part of the Order) This Order has been preceded by the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 (Commencement No. 1 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1993 (S.I. 1993/2632). That Order brought certain provisions of that Act into force on two different dates.
