EDUCATION, ENGLAND AND WALES The Education (Registered Inspectors of Schools Appeal Tribunal) (Procedure) Regulations 1994
1. These regulations may be cited as the Education (Registered Inspectors of Schools Appeal Tribunal) (Procedure) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 15th April 1994.
2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires- "the Act" means the Education (Schools) Act 1992; "appellant" means a person who brings an appeal under section 12 of the Act; "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Tribunal; "the Chief Inspector" means either the Chief Inspector for England appointed under section 1(1) of the Act or the Chief Inspector for Wales appointed under section 5(1) of the Act, as the case may be; "costs" includes fees, charges, disbursements, expenses and remuneration; "disputed decision" means the matter in relation to which the appellant or intending appellant appeals or desires to appeal to the Tribunal; "proper officer" in relation to a regulation means an officer or servant of the Tribunal appointed by the Chairman to perform the duties of a proper officer under that regulation; "the register" means the register kept by a proper officer of the Tribunal.
