CUSTOMS AND EXCISE

The Free Zone (Prestwick Airport) Designation (Variation) Order 1994

Made 26th January 1994
Coming into force 1st February 1994

    The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 100A(4)(a)(ii) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and with the agreement of Freeport Scotland Limited[2], hereby make the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Free Zone (Prestwick Airport) Designation (Variation) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st February 1994.
        2.    The area designated a free zone by the Free Zone (Prestwick Airport) Designation Order 1991[3] shall be varied so as to consist of the area of 7.0359 acres in the parish of Ayr in the County of Ayr, shown enclosed by a red line on a map (being of a scale of 1: 2500), marked "Map referred to in article 2 of the Free Zone (Prestwick Airport) Designation (Variation) Order 1994", signed by a Collector of Customs and Excise and dated 7th December 1993.
        3.    The map referred to in article 2 above shall be kept by the Commissioners at their Headquarters, New King's Beam House, 22 Upper Ground, London SE1 9PJ (and a copy thereof at the offices of Freeport Scotland Limited) in substitution for the map referred to in article 2 of the Free Zone (Prestwick Airport) Designation Order 1991.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order varies the Free Zone (Prestwick Airport) Designation Order 1991 by increasing the designated area from 5.799 acres to 7.0359 acres.
