COUNTY COURTS

The Civil Courts (Amendment No. 2) Order 1993

Made 9th December 1993
Laid before Parliament 10th December 1993
Coming into force 4th January 1994

    The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(1) of the County Courts Act 1984[1], hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment No.2) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 4th January 1994.
        2.    The holding of the East Grinstead, Hexham, Malton, Thorne and Whitby County Courts shall be discontinued and Schedule 3 to the Civil Courts Order 1983[2] shall accordingly be amended by deleting the entries relating to those courts[3].

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 so as to close the East Grinstead, Hexham, Malton, Thorne and Whitby County Courts.
