INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT

The Assisted Areas (Amendment) Order 1993

The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 1(1), (3), (4) and (7) of the Industrial Development Act 1982^[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

    1.    This Order may be cited as the Assisted Areas (Amendment) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st August 1993.

    2.    The Assisted Areas Order 1993^[2] shall be amended by substituting "5th April 1981" for "2nd April 1988" in article 2(2)^[2].

This Order amends the Assisted Areas Order 1993 ("the 1993 Order") by substituting 5th April 1981, the date of the 1981 Census, as the date on which a ward in a travel to work area in England and Wales referred to in the 1993 Order is taken to have existed for the purposes of the 1993 Order.
