EDUCATION, SCOTLAND

The Colleges of Further Education (Changes of Names) (Scotland) Order 1993

Made 25th July 1993
Laid before Parliament 27th July 1993
Coming into force 17th August 1993

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 3(4) and 60 of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992([1]) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having undertaken such consultation as appeared to him to be appropriate, hereby makes the following Order:
    Citation and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Colleges of Further Education (Changes of Names) (Scotland) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 17th August 1993.
    Changes of names of colleges of further education
        2.    The name of each college of further education specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order is changed to the name specified opposite that name in column 2 of that Schedule, and a corresponding change is made to the name of the board of management of each college of further education so specified.
