CONTINENTAL SHELF

The Continental Shelf (Designation of Areas) (No. 2) Order 1993

Made 20th July 1993

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 20th day of July 1993

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Whereas by the Continental Shelf (Designation of Areas) Orders 1964 to 1993[1] certain areas are designated as areas within which the rights of the United Kingdom with respect to the sea bed and subsoil and their natural resources may be exercised:
    And whereas it is expedient that a further such area should be so designated:
    Now therefore, Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 1(7) of the Continental Shelf Act 1964[2] and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
        1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Continental Shelf (Designation of Areas) (No. 2) Order 1993.

        (2)  This Order shall be included in the Orders which, in accordance with the Continental Shelf (Designation of Areas) Order 1993, may be cited together as the Continental Shelf (Designation of Areas) Orders 1964 to 1993.
        2.    The area defined in the Schedule to this Order is hereby designated as an area within which the rights of the United Kingdom outside territorial waters with respect to the sea bed and subsoil and their natural resources are exercisable.
