SPORTS GROUNDS AND SPORTING EVENTS

The Football Spectators Act 1989 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1993

Made 8th July 1993

    The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 27(2) and (3) of the Football Spectators Act 1989[1] hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Football Spectators Act 1989 (Commencement No.4) Order 1993.
        2.    Section 9 of the Football Spectators Act 1989 shall come into force on 1st August 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force on 1st August 1993 section 9 of the Football Spectators Act 1989 which makes it an offence to admit spectators to watch a football match designated under that Act unless the premises where the match is played are licensed under that Act by the Football Licensing Authority.
