LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND AND WALES The Local Government (Committees) (Amendment) Regulations 1993
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Committees) (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 23rd June 1993.
2.(1) The Local Government (Committees and Political Groups) Regulations 1990[2] shall be amended as follows. (2) In regulation 4(1)(h), for the words from "the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970" to "the Superannuation Act 1972" there shall be substituted "any provision mentioned in the Schedule to these Regulations". (3) There shall be inserted at the end the Schedule contained in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.
3. The functions of the East Sussex County Council and the West Sussex County Council specified in Schedule 2 to these Regulations are prescribed for the purposes of section 13(4)(g) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 in so far as they have been delegated to the joint committee established by those councils on 1st April 1992 in relation to the Sussex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
4. Article 3 of the Local Government (Committees and Political Groups) (Amendment) Regulations 1991[3] is revoked.
