The Food Premises (Registration) (Welsh Form of Application) Regulations 1993

Coming into force 11th June 1993


    The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretaries of State respectively concerned with health in England, and with food and health in Wales, acting jointly in respect of England and Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 19(1)(a), 48(1) and 49(2) of the Food Safety Act 1990[1], as extended by section 2(2) of the Welsh Language Act 1967[2], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, after consulting such organisations as appear to them to be representative of interests likely to be substantially affected by these Regulations in accordance with section 48(4) of that Act, hereby make the following Regulations:-
    Citation, commencement, application and interpretation
        1.—(1)  These Regulations may be cited as the Food Premises (Registration) (Welsh Form of Application) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 11th June 1993.

        (2)  These Regulations apply only to applications for the registration of premises which are in Wales.

        (3)  In these Regulations "the principal Regulations" means the Food Premises (Registration) Regulations 1991[3].
    Applications for registration of food premises
        2.    The form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby prescribed as the version in Welsh which may be used for the purpose of an application under regulation 4 of the principal Regulations instead of the form in Schedule 4 to the principal Regulations (form of application for registration of food premises).
