CUSTOMS AND EXCISE

The Export of Goods (Control) (Bosnia-Herzegovina) (ECSC) (Revocation) Order 1993

Made 29th April 1993
Coming into force 30th April 1993

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred by section 1 of the Import, Export and Customs Powers (Defence) Act 1939[1] and now vested in him[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Export of Goods (Control) (Bosnia-Herzegovina) (ECSC) (Revocation) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 30th April 1993.
        2.    The Export of Goods (Control) (Bosnia-Herzegovina) (ECSC) Order 1993[3] is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order revokes the Export of Goods (Control) (Bosnia-Herzegovina) (ECSC) Order 1993 which prohibited the export of goods covered by the ECSC Treaty to Bosnia-Herzegovina, except under the authority of a licence granted by the Secretary of State or which was in accordance with an export authorisation issued by the competent authority of a Member State in conformity with Decision 92/470/ECSC, as amended.
    That Decision has now been revoked and prohibition on the export of all goods to Bosnia-Herzegovina except under the authority of a licence granted by the Secretary of State is now contained in the Export of Goods (Control) (Croatian and Bosnian Territories) Order 1993 (S.I. 1993/1189), in accordance with Resolution 820 (1993) of the Security Council of the United Nations adopted on 17th April 1993.
