OFFICIAL SECRETS

The Official Secrets Act 1989 (Prescription) (Amendment) Order 1993

Made 22nd March 1993
Coming into force 23rd March 1993

    In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 12(1)(f) and 13(1) of the Official Secrets Act 1989[1], a draft of this instrument having been laid before Parliament and having been approved by each House of Parliament, I hereby make the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Official Secrets Act 1989 (Prescription) (Amendment) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 23rd March 1993.
        2.    The Official Secrets Act 1989 (Prescription) Order 1990[2] shall be amended by adding to the first column of Schedule 1 to that Order the bodies set out in the first column of the Schedule to this Order and by adding to the second column of Schedule 1 to that Order the classes of members or employees of those bodies set out in the second column of the Schedule to this Order.
