NATIONAL DEBT

The Premium Savings Bonds (Amendment) Regulations 1993

Made 17th March 1993
Laid before Parliament 18th March 1993
Coming into force 13th April 1993

    The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 11 of the National Debt Act 1972[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:-
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Premium Savings Bonds (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 13th April 1993.
        2.    The Premium Savings Bonds Regulations 1972[2] shall be amended in regulation 5(1) (maximum holding of bonds) by substituting for the figures "10,000" the figures "20,000".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations, which amend the Premium Savings Bonds Regulations 1972, increase the maximum permitted holding of premium savings bonds from 10,000 to 20,000 bond units.
