LANDLORD AND TENANT, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Assured Tenancies and Agricultural Occupancies (Rent Information) (Amendment) Order 1993

The Secretary of State for the Environment, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 42 of the Housing Act 1988^[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order-

Citation and commencement
    1.    This Order may be cited as the Assured Tenancies and Agricultural Occupancies (Rent Information) (Amendment) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st April 1993.

Amendment
    2.    In paragraph 7 of the Schedule to the Assured Tenancies and Agricultural Occupancies (Rent Information) Order 1988^[2] for "rates" substitute "council tax or rates".

This Order amends the Assured Tenancies and Agricultural Occupancies (Rent Information) Order 1988 by including a reference to council tax in the information on rents of assured tenancies and agricultural occupancies which is to be made publicly available by the President of each rent assessment panel.
