EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
The Further and Higher Education Act 1992 extends the meaning of "further education" to include full-time education provided by a sixth form college. These Regulations amend The Outer Space Act 1986 (Fees) Regulations 1989 by providing a definition of "further education" consistent with this extended meaning, so that exemption from the fee payable on an application for a licence under the Outer Space Act 1986 extends to such a college.
