HOUSING, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Liverpool Housing Action Trust (Area and Constitution) Order 1993 Approved by both Houses of Parliament

Made 7th February 1993
Coming into force 8th February 1993

    The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 60 and 62(1)(a) of the Housing Act 1988[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consultation with the council of the City of Liverpool in accordance with section 61(1) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order, a draft of which has been laid before Parliament and has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:
    Citation and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Liverpool Housing Action Trust (Area and Constitution) Order 1993 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
    Interpretation
        2.    In this Order, "the map" means the 42 maps each entitled "Map referred to in the Liverpool Housing Action Trust (Area and Constitution) Order 1993", of which prints, signed by an Under Secretary in the Department of the Environment, are deposited and available for inspection at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment and the offices of the council of the City of Liverpool.
    Designation of housing action trust area
        3.    The area comprising the 44 parcels of land shown on the map bounded externally by a black line and edged internally with a stippled band is hereby designated as a housing action trust area.
    Establishment of the Liverpool Housing Action Trust
        4.    For the area designated by article 3 above there is hereby established a housing action trust, named the Liverpool Housing Action Trust.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order designates 44 parcels of land totalling approximately 38 hectares in the City of Liverpool as a housing action trust area, and establishes a housing action trust for that area to be called the Liverpool Housing Action Trust. The locations of the 44 parcels of land are shown by black dots on the map forming part of this note.
