The Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (Commencement No. 15) Order 1993

Made 20th January 1993

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 195(2) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (Commencement No. 15) Order 1993.
        2.    Paragraph 14 of Schedule 11 to the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and so much of section 194(1) of that Act as relates to that paragraph, shall come into force on 25th January 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force on 25th January 1993 paragraph 14 of Schedule 11 to the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 which inserts a new paragraph after paragraph 9A of Schedule 1 to the International Organisations Act 1968. The new paragraph adds to the matters listed in Part II of Schedule 1 to that Act (privileges and immunities of representatives, members of subordinate bodies, high officers, experts and persons on missions) the like exemption from being liable to pay a community charge or contribution to a collective community charge as is accorded to the head of a diplomatic mission.
