The Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992 (Commencement) Order 1992

Made 17th December 1992

    The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 9(2) of the Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992[1], hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992 (Commencement) Order 1992.
        2.    The Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992 shall come into force on 31st January 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force on 31st January 1993 the Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992. The Act enables a person to apply to a county court allowing him to obtain access to neighbouring land for the purpose of carrying out preservation work to his own land.
