The Local Government Act 1992 (Commencement No.2) Order 1992

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 30(3) of the Local Government Act 1992^[1] and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation
    1.—(1)  These Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1992 (Commencement No.2) Order 1992.

    (2)  In this Order "the 1992 Act" means the Local Government Act 1992.

Provisions of the 1992 Act coming into force on 4th January 1993
    2.    The following provisions of the 1992 Act shall come into force on 4th January 1993—
section 9; and


section 11, so far as it relates to paragraphs 6. 7, 13 and 14 of Schedule 1.

Provisions of the 1992 Act coming into force on 14th February 1993
    3.    The following provisions of the 1992 Act shall come into force on 14th February 1993—
section 10; and


section 11, so far as it relates to paragraphs 1 and 11 of Schedule 1.

Provisions of the 1992 Act coming into force on 14th March 1994
    4.    Section 11 of the 1992 Act shall come into force on 14th March 1994 so far as it relates to paragraphs 2(2), (3) and 8 of Schedule 1.

This Order bringd into force the following provisions of the Local Government Act 1992—
  section 9 and section 11, so far as the latter relates to paragraphs 6, 7, 13 and 14 of Schedule 1, on 4th January 1993;

  section 10 and section 11, so far as the latter relates to paragraphs 1 and 11 of Schedule 1, on 14th February 1993;

  section 11, so far as the latter relates to paragraphs 2(2), (3) and 8 of Schedule 1, on 14th March 1994.

The following provisions of the Act have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order:
