The National Health Service (General Medical and Pharmaceutical Services) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 3) Regulations 1992

Laid before Parliament 1st December 1992
Coming into force 22nd December 1992

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him sections 27, 105(7), and 108(1) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
    Citation, commencement and interpretation
        1.—(1)  These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (General Medical and Pharmaceutical Services) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 3) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 22nd December 1992.

        (2)  In these Regulations "the principal Regulations" means the National Health Service (General Medical and Pharmaceutical Services) (Scotland) Regulations 1974[2].
    Amendment to the principal Regulations
        2.    In Schedule 3 to the principal Regulations paragraph 3A of Part I and paragraph 3A of Part II shall be deleted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations further amend the National Health Service (General Medical and Pharmaceutical Services) (Scotland) Regulations 1974. Regulation 2 removes the restrictions on the advertising of pharmaceutical services.
