FOOD The Milk and Dairies and Milk (Special Designation) (Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1992
1.(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Milk and Dairies and Milk (Special Designation) (Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on27th November 1992. (2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
3. In regulation 2(1)(a) of the Milk Charges Regulations in the definition of "sampling dairy farm visit" the words "or water or both" shall be deleted.
4. In paragraph 2 of the Schedule to the Milk Charges Regulations for the figures "47.00" there shall be substituted the figures "63.00".
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
The Regulations impose a revised charge for visits to dairy farms for the sole purpose of taking samples of milk by persons authorised by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State for Wales for the purpose of ascertaining whether provisions of the Milk (Special Designation) Regulations 1989 are being complied with. The charges for dairy farm visits other than for the sole purpose of taking samples of milk remain unchanged. The Regulations delete the references to the sampling of water as one of the purposes of a dairy farm visit, as Local Authorities are now responsible for sampling private water supplies under the Private Water Supply Regulations 1991 S.I. 1991/2790. The charges are set out in the table below:
