SOCIAL SECURITY

The Social Fund Cold Weather Payments (General) Amendment Regulations 1992

Made 29th September 1992
Laid before Parliament 7th October 1992
Coming into force 1st November 1992

    The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 138(2) and (4) and 175(3) and (4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee[2] that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it, hereby makes the following Regulations:
    Citation, commencement and interpretation
        1.—(1)  These Regulations may be cited as the Social Fund Cold Weather Payments (General) Amendment Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st November 1992.

        (2)  In these Regulations "the principal Regulations" means the Social Fund Cold Weather Payments (General) Regulations 1988[3].
    Amendment of Schedule 1 to the principal Regulations
        2.    In Schedule 1 to the principal Regulations (Post Office postcode areas assigned to designated National Climatological Message Stations)[4] for entries 8, 11, 22, 23, 25, 33, 34, 53, 56, 58, and 61, there shall be respectively substituted the entries in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.
    Amendment of Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations
        3.    For Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations (definition of Post Office postcode area) there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in Schedule 2 to these Regulations.
