The Community Charges and Non-Domestic Rating (Demand Notices) (Wales) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1992

Made 2nd April 1992
To be laid before Parliament
Coming into force 6th April 1992

    The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(2) of the Welsh Language Act 1967[1], sections 140(4), 143(1) and (2) and 146(6) of, and paragraphs 1 and 2(2)(1) to (1e) of Schedule 2 to, the Local Government Finance Act 1988[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Community Charges and Non-Domestic Rating (Demand Notices) (Wales) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1992, and shall come into force on 6th April 1992.
        2.    Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Community Charges and Non-Domestic Rating (Demand Notices) (Wales) Regulations 1990[3] shall be amended by the insertion after sub-paragraph (3) of the following—
      "  (3A)  In relation to the matters prescribed for inclusion in a personal community charge demand notice relating to the chargeable financial year beginning on 1st April 1992, the words "Charge less community charge reduction" and "Tâl llai gostyngiad tâl cymunedol" may be used instead of the English words and the Welsh words respectively described at           te] of paragraph 3.

          (3B)  The requirements of this Schedule shall apply to the use of the words described in paragraph (3A) as they apply to the use of the words described at           te] of paragraph 3." .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations apply to Wales. They amend the Community Charges and NonDomestic Rating (Demand Notices) (Wales) Regulations 1990 (S.I. 1990/293).
    The amendments prescribe alternative wording for part of the personal community charge demand notice. The relevant wording is only required in relation to part year bills, and these can only be served after the commencement of the relevant financial year.
