ROAD TRAFFIC

The Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1992

Laid before Parliament 12th March 1992
Coming into force 6th April 1992

    The Secretary of State for Transport, with the consent of the Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973[1] and the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988[2], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Regulations:
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 6th April 1992.
        2.    In Regulation 3 of the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) Regulations 1986[3] for "£244" there shall be substituted "£254" and for "£99" there shall be substituted "£103".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations amend the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) Regulations 1986 to increase the fees for the approval of fitters or workshops for the installation or repair of recording equipment (Tachographs). These fees were last increased in April 1991.
    The fee for the issue of an approval is increased from £244 to £254 and for the renewal of an approval from £99 to £103.
