ROAD TRAFFIC

The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 1992

Made 9th March 1992
Laid before Parliament 9th March 1992
Coming into force 31st March 1992

    The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 105, 108(1)[1], and 192(1)[2] of the Road Traffic Act 1988[3] and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 195(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 31stMarch 1992.
        2.    The Motor Vehicles (Driving Liences) Regulations 1987[4] shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.
        3.    In paragraph (4) of regulation 33 (Effect of change in classification from groups to categories) for "1st April 1992" there shall be substituted "1st October 1992".
        4.    In paragraph (6) of regulation 34 (Effect of change in classification on entitlement to drive large buses) for "1st April 1992" there shall be substituted "1st October 1992".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations amend regulations 33 and 34 of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1987 by extending a person's entitlement to drive large buses by virtue of either of those regulations from 31st March 1992 to 30th September 1992.
