MAGISTRATES' COURTS

The Maintenance Enforcement Act 1991 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1992

Made 2nd March 1992

    In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12(2) of the Maintenance Enforcement Act 1991[1], I hereby make the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Maintenance Enforcement Act 1991 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1992.
        2.    Those provisions of the Maintenance Enforcement Act 1991 not already in force[2], apart from paragraphs 15 to 17 of Schedule 1 to that Act (and section 10 to the extent necessary to bring those paragraphs into force), shall come into force on 1st April 1992.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force on 1st April 1992 those provisions of the Maintenance Enforcement Act 1991 not already in force, apart from paragraphs 15 to 17 of Schedule 1 to that Act (and section 10 to the extent necessary to bring those paragraphs into force).
    Section 12 of the Act (short title, commencement, application and extent) came into force on 27th June 1991 and paragraph 11 of Schedule 2 to the Act came into force on 14th October 1991. Paragraph 11 amended section 10 of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 (c. 41).

[2] Section 12 of the 1991 Act came into force on 27th June 1991, on the passing of the Act, and paragraph 11 of Schedule 2 (and section 11(1) to the extent necessary to bring that paragraph into force) came into force on 14th October 1991, by virtue of S.I.1991/2042. back
