The Wireless Telegraphy (Licence Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1992

Made 21st February 1992
Laid before Parliament 27th February 1992
Coming into force 1st April 1992

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949[1], and now vested in him[2], the power conferred on him by article 8 of the Department of Trade and Industry (Fees) Order 1988[3], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby, with the consent of the Treasury, makes the following Regulations—
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Wireless Telegraphy (Licence Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st April 1992.
        2.    In these Regulations, "the principal Regulations" means the Wireless Telegraphy (Licence Charges) Regulations 1991[4].
        3.    In regulation 3 of the principal Regulations,
       (a) after the word "where" in paragraph (4) there shall be inserted the words "the frequency and";
       (b) for the table in the said paragraph there shall be substituted the table set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations; and
       (c) for the words "20th November 1990" in paragraph (6) there shall be substituted the words "17th January 1992".
        4.    In regulation 4 of the principal Regulations after the semi-colon at the end of sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) there shall be added the word "and".
        5.    For the Schedule to the principal Regulations there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in Schedule 2 to these Regulations.
