A route about 3.8 kilometres in length, from the eastern termination point of the route of the new trunk road described in Schedule 1 to the A428 Trunk Road (Bedford Southern Bypass) Order 1991^[3](about 250 metres south-west of the junction of the A5134 road and the A603 Cardington Road) north-eastwards, crossing the River Great Ouse, to a point on the Trunk Road about 1.4 kilometres east of its junction with Norse Road. The route includes one roundabout adjacent to its eastern end.
