POLICE

The Police (Amendment) Regulations 1992

Made 17th February 1992
Laid before Parliament 24th February 1992
Coming into force 30th March 1992

    In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 33 of the Police Act 1964[1], and after taking into consideration the recommendation made by the Police Negotiating Board for the United Kingdom and furnishing the said Board with a draft of the Regulations in accordance with section 2(1) of the Police Negotiating Board Act 1980[2], I hereby make the following Regulations:
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Police (Amendment) Regulations 1992.
        2.    These Regulations shall come into force on 30th March 1992 and shall have effect for the purposes of regulation 3 as from 1st July 1991.
        3.    The Police Regulations 1987[3] shall be amended by substituting for the words "£1,269" in regulation 39 (London weighting) and in paragraph 3(2) of Schedule 4 (university scholars' supplementary pay) the words "£1,344".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations further amend the Police Regulations 1987 so as to increase London weighting and the supplementary pay of university scholars in the City and the metropolitan police district with effect from 1st July 1991 (retrospection is authorized by section 33(4) of the Police Act 1964).
