CHANGES IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS

The Cheshire, Derbyshire, Hereford and Worcester and Staffordshire (County Boundaries) (Variation) Order 1992

Made 13th January 1992
Laid before Parliament 22nd January 1992
Coming into force 28th February 1992

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under sections 69 and 266 of the Local Government Act 1972[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having complied with the procedures laid down in sections 69(2) and (3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order, which varies supplementary provisions contained in the Cheshire, Derbyshire, Hereford and Worcester and Staffordshire (County Boundaries) Order 1991[2], an order made by him pursuant to his powers under sections 51(2) and 67(4) and (5) of the Act on 21st February 1991
    Citatition and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Cheshire, Derbyshire, Hereford and Worcester and Staffordshire (County Boundaries) (Variation) Order 1992, and shall come into force on 28th February 1992.
    Variation in respect of petty sessional divisions and coroner's districts
        2.    The Cheshire, Derbyshire, Hereford and Worcester and Staffordshire (County Boundaries) Order 1991 shall be varied as follows-
    In the third entry in Schedule 2 (which transfers the areas marked A16 to A19 on map 2 from the county of Staffordshire, from the district of Staffordshire Moorlands, and from the parish of Hollinsclough to the county of Derbyshire, the district of Derbyshire Dales, and to the parish of Hartington Middle quarter), for the words "High Peak petty sessional division" and "High Peak West Derbyshire Coroner's district" in column 7, there shall be substituted "West Derbyshire petty sessional division" and "High Peak Coroner's district."

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order varies supplementary provisions made in the Cheshire, Derbyshire, Hereford and Worcester and Staffordshire (County Boundaries) Order 1991 (S. I. 1991/311). It affects four areas transferred by that Order from Staffordshire, from the district of Staffordshire Moorlands and from the parish of Hollinsclough to Derbyshire, to the district of Derbyshire Dales and to the parish of Hartington Middle Quarter by varying the petty sessional division and coroner's district to which those areas were consequentially transferred.
